High Voltage: Why I’m Not Built for the Average Path

Most people live in straight lines. Predictable. Measured. Consistent.

I don’t.

My mind is not a neatly organized flowchart. It’s a storm—chaotic, intuitive, fast. Some call it ADHD. Some say dyslexia. I just know that I work in bursts. In waves. I don’t function off calendars and task apps. I function off fire.

I’ve spent years thinking that made me weak. That I was undisciplined. Scattered. That I needed to fix myself—to fit in, to level out.

But here’s the truth: I’m not built for the average path. I’m high voltage.

Bursty, Not Broken

Discipline doesn’t look the same for everyone. For some, it’s ticking boxes daily. For me, it’s locking in with surgical focus for three weeks straight—and then crashing for two.

I can build an entire system from scratch in 48 hours if I’m obsessed.
I can also stare at the wall for two days if I’m not.

And that doesn’t mean I’m flaky.
It means I’m wired asymmetrically.
It means I need to honor my intensity, not tame it.

The Fire and the Fall

When I’m in flow, I’m a weapon. There’s no room I don’t belong in. No idea I can’t stretch into shape. But when that fire cools, I get lost. Doubt creeps in. I romanticize women I barely know. I think about walking away from the very projects that define me.

That’s the trap:
To mistake stillness for emptiness.

But I’ve learned that when I feel empty, it’s not because I’ve failed. It’s because I’m transitioning. Refueling. Waiting for the next burst.

Why Consistency Isn’t My Religion

The world tells us that success comes from daily grind. And it does—for those built for that. But some of us are sprinters. Cyclers. We don’t move forward in steps. We leap, crash, and rise again.

That’s not dysfunction. That’s design.

The key isn’t to be like everyone else. The key is to build a life that respects your wiring.

I don’t need to be consistent.
I need to be aligned.

What I’ve Built Anyway

Despite the crashes, I’ve built:

  • Afitpilot — an AI coaching engine that adapts like a real human (still in the making, but already breathing with purpose)
  • Akwanza — a soulful brand inspired by ancestral power and Afrocentric elegance
  • A blog that cuts deeper than trends

Not because I follow rules.
But because I follow resonance.

Who This Is For

If you’ve ever felt like you’re too intense, too distracted, too emotional—this is for you.
If you burn bright but crash hard—this is for you.
If you feel like a misfit in a world that rewards moderation—this is for you.

You’re not broken. You’re just high voltage.

Don’t dim it.
Design for it.

Final Thought

I used to think I had to pick between greatness and peace. Now I know: the only peace I’ll ever feel comes from walking my own path. Not someone else’s structure. Not someone else’s timeline.

And if you’re like me?
Then your job isn’t to be calm. Your job is to be clear.

Because once your lightning finds direction—
you don’t just live.
You electrify.
