It’s been a while, and you might have thought the Akwanza journey had come to an end… but far from it. The vision is still strong, and I’ve been hard at work refining the doodle images and preparing new products that will be launching soon.
Since our initial release, I’ve received valuable feedback on the clothing line. Not all of the images came out as well as I’d hoped, but I’m excited to share that we’ve made significant improvements. This meant upscaling the quality of the images, and meticulously fine-tuning each doodle until every edge, line, and shade truly shined. In some cases, I went through as many as 20 different versions of an image to get it just right.
I hope this effort speaks for itself, and that you’ll find the doodles more vivid and full of personality. Below, I’ve shared some before-and-after examples of these refinements. You’ll notice that a few of the animals have even had a little makeover—including some new hairstyles! Working with hair is tricky, but as my skills grow, I hope these doodles continue to evolve, just like the rest of Akwanza.
